Cara Delevigne, Patrick Grant and Charlotte Dellal were amongst the VIPs who joined us to toast the First Birthday of our favourite online retailer Vintage Seekers at the stunning RIBA building on Portland Place.

On display outside the venue were a range of the sites classic cars including an iconic Jaguar E-Type and a 1971 Citroen DS21 which gave our guests a little taste of what to expect inside.

The evening truly captured the essence of Vintage Seekers; guests explored the pop up exhibition of some of the site’s most exciting pieces whilst sipping Billecart Salmon champagne and Hendrick’s Gin Fizz’s (made to the Savoy’s classic recipe) with a soundtrack of 20th century film classics.

As the Vintage Seekers site spans the areas of Design, Fashion, Watches, Wine, Motoring and Collectibles, it made for an exciting variation of remarkable pieces on display. Exhibition highlights included a pair of Persol sunglasses belonging to Steve McQueen complete with the legend’s thumb prints, a collection of mid 20th century Dior dresses that portray the early stages of the Little Black Dress and a very rare Rolex 1665 ‘Omani Khanjar’ Sea-Dweller.

In addition to the exhibits on the mannequins, some of Vintage Seekers’ most fabulous fashion offerings were worn by guests on the event. The company’s co-founder Lucy Evans wore a stunning trouser suit by Ossie Clarke, Business Development Manager Grace Browne wore Herve Leger and model of the moment Sai Bennett was also dressed in a sensational sheer black dress from Vintage Seekers.

As the evening progressed the guests were entertained by jazz from Pete Long of Ronnie Scott’s fame, and served a rather fitting Paxton and Whitfields stilton with Grahams Port. Totally delicious, and completely transported all the guests to a gorgeous bygone era.
